Welcome to the GTRE Family!
Getting ready for your installation
We are grateful you chose GTRE as your partner on your solar system project. Now that we are almost ready to begin installing your system, we would like to share some information that will be helpful for you to know.
Weather and Installation Updates
-
Weather conditions play a significant role in the progress of an installation. Here are some key factors that may affect our work:
-
Wind: Moderate to high winds can pose risks when working on rooftops.
-
Rain: Working with electrical components and specialized tools during rain can be hazardous and may damage our equipment. For metal roofs, any chance of precipitation makes the surface unsafe for work.
-
Heat: When temperatures reach the mid-90s or higher, some of our tools may overheat, affecting efficiency and safety.
-
Cold: Near or below-freezing temperatures can cause some tools to malfunction or break.
-
We’ll always keep you informed about any weather-related adjustments to our schedule, typically by text, either the night before or early on the morning of your installation day. In certain cases, if weather prevents us from completing one part of the project, we may be able to work on another aspect. For example, during rainy conditions, we might focus on installing components like inverters or batteries inside a garage.
Workday Details
-
Our team usually arrives late morning to mid-day for installations. Before arriving at your location, we dedicate time to gathering materials, coordinating deliveries at our warehouse, and completing necessary office tasks.
Site Access
-
We love pets! However, if your pet is uncomfortable around strangers or "solar guys," we kindly ask that you secure them while we’re onsite.
-
If you need to be away during the installation, we’re happy to continue working onsite with your approval. We can provide updates and photos to keep you informed throughout the process.
